Very happy with the way First State Auctions operated. Communications via email and also phone were clear and responsive, and the marketing of the watch I sold was excellent with quality pics and video. Also achieved a sale price at auction very close to what a couple of very experienced watchmakers told me I should get. The commission fee and lotting fee seemed reasonable to me for the outcome achieved.
As a secured creditor, we appointed FSA in a liquidation matter due to their unique value added proposition to review all items for their low and high estimated value, advertising campaigns combined with a public auction and live streaming. Last week I received an email from First State Auctions to advise my ring had been auctioned and the monies would be deposited in my bank account the next day.
I have to say that the entire process of auctioning my ring from start to finish has been absolutely professional, quick, easy and painless. After several years of seeing jewellers to try and get a valuation for my ring and with no luck as most didn’t want to do so without me paying hundreds of dollars… I finally decided to try First State Auctions.
I made an appointment to see their valuer who was able to give me an estimate during my appointment period….no time wasted. He went through the entire process with me of how the ring would be auctioned, their fees etc and a recommended starting price. I signed the contract and the ring was off my hands. That was approximately 3 months ago.
I really didn’t think the ring would sell due to the old style setting and certainly not above the auction price and in that short time frame. Speaking to any FSA staff, they have all been courteous, knowledgeable and absolutely professional. I would certainly recommend First State Auctions to anyone.
